I had a great experience. The food was lovely and the owner was sweet and checked on us multiple times. The atmosphere is beautifully done. I plan on coming back shortly to try other menu options!
Good food for the price. Please check the bill ( twice or thrice) before giving tip. They add the tip amount as service charge with the bill and then again, ask for tip and show the bill as PRE TIP Amount. I've attached the bill so that it help others. Most of the time when we are traveling, we tend to not check bills properly and think it's okay to tip.But this gesture is not cool at all... neither acceptable. One of our member was smart enough to do the math. It's a clear deception ... 🤷However, food was pretty good as it's probably the cheapest in Salem area
The food is consistently fresh and yummy, employees gives good service. I loved the cleanliness and ambience. Will come visit again.
Stopped in during an afternoon in Salem. The food was outstanding!!! Some of the best Thai we have had in a long time. The service and owners were awesome. We we're looking for a specific salad that wasn't on the lunch menu but she made it for us anyway. Definitely recommend!!!
So so service, nice, but so so. Food came out at random. Pad Thai wasn't the pad Thai I know and love. Also they automatically charged a "so service fee" ..... The tables were set with plates but the food came out on there own plates so we were constantly moving empty plates around the table to make room for our meals. If you are CRAVING Thai this place is OK, but other than that it should be considered a pass for what else is I. The area.
This place smells like old socks. The food is not Really Thai it is not tasty. I am not recommended this place. You cannot enjoy it 😖
I would say this is a decent place to eat at. The food was okay, I did not have any complaints about the taste, however my green forest chicken came with too much peanut sauce, and so all I tasted was peanut. The curry was not too spicy, although I don't know if it was just me or if it really was a weaker spice. The ambiance is nice and fancy, and the people serving my friends and I were nice. However my friend ordered another thing of scallion pancakes, and never got them, though we hopefully weren't charged. The green tea fried ice cream was outstanding and I highly recommend it. Actually I think it was the best thing I had there, and that alone is worth coming back. All in all, I would say this place is great for causal lunches with your friends. If it looks busy, maybe somewhere else, but if there isn't much people, the service is great.
Nice atmosphere and super personal service. The food was crisp and enchanting. Will easily recommend this place to my friends. Fair prices and large meals. Great job.
Excellent tasty food and great service. I will definitely be returning soon.
Always a pleasant experience at Thai place with good food and family oriented service. The owner is very kind and takes a care to her customers' needs. Food is delicious and prices are fair! Highly recommend for authentic Thai cuisine!
This spot constantly delivers. They have great food for fair rates, there no long wait even when the spot is packed.
We love Thai Place. Amazing service, huge portions (especially for takeout), and kind staff. One time I arrived to pick up food and had forgotten my credit card - the owner let me take the food and pay later because she recognized me. The food itself is almost always excellent, with a few exceptions when I'm guessing someone different might be cooking. We love the Massaman Curry, Pad Thai (but order it spicy, otherwise it can be a little dry without the chili garlic sauce), and golden bags. We are loyal customers and love to support this place!
Exactly what I’m looking for in Thai food take out. Quick, yummy, polite staff. Will be returning.
Friendly service with tasty food! Love that it has kid’s menus. Due to car sick, my daughter had low appetite, but she finish the whole chicken noodle from the kid’s menus.
Great noodles. Best Thai noodles I've ever had. Good service and fair prices.
First only restaraunt I saw worth eating from in Salem and went back after seeing the sites of Salem as a tourist.
Decent place, good tom yam soup and was very cheap!!!
This is may favorite Thai food place on the North Shore! I eat here as often as I can the owners are so nice and the food is always good. I highly recommend trying the banana dumpling for dessert.
Great food, drink, and amazing service!
This Thai food is the worst we have ever tasted. They added their own tip and even decided to keep the change. This restaurant is located near the major tourist sites in Salem. Do not eat at this mediocre, bland, average restaurant.
I just had dinner at this restaurant and they truly deserve a bad review. I ordered a couple of dishes and they were OK on the lower level of the spectrum and cheap. I paid my bill and gave them a tip. The woman who works there came to check how much tip as I gave her and as she thought it was not enough she was really rude to me and tried forcing me to give her a better tip. Stay away from this place. You want to have a peaceful environment when you eat and not rude people around you greedy for money. In this way food becomes poison.
I can't imagine what the people who give this place poor reviews are talking about. Service was excellent, food was incredibly delicious. Drinks were strong, and very good amount for the price. Food was not expensive at all. Hosts were charming, and the restaurant is beautiful and adorably decorated. The tom ka GAO soup has that fishy funk I want with a hit of lime and lemongrass and fresh chicken. Peanut sauce on the satay is the old school thick kind that's almost like spicy peanut butter. Other apps were tasty and a good amount to split among 3.I had the Black Magic entree, and it was one of the best Thai dishes I had in years. Chicken on the Green was more of that great peanut sauce and a nice medley of veggies. Yellow curry was perfect, with a ton of shrimp. Fried rice seemed to be freshly made and was delicious. All in all, a great experience, and I won't hesitate to come back.
Always a decent meal for a good price
yeah their food was bomb but one of the workers that didn’t even serve us asked us for a tip when we already left one for our actual waitress. we have him a dollar and he was very angry about it lmao
Great Thai food at really great prices and the owners a super nice.
I actually don't want to give a star, my experience here is very bad.I will go to this restaurant again forever. My family and I love Thai food. But when we came to this restaurant, the service staff saw that we had four children and arranged us near a back door. It was cold that day and someone kept opening the back door, and we felt very cold. And their dishes are not good, we ordered a grilled steak, and half of them couldn't bite. The taste is also average. Other customers did not know why they laughed so much when they ate half of the meal. My child was crying because of great fright. We left without eating.
Delicious food & some gluten free options
food was delicious. good prices and the woman who waited on us was so nice
I’ve been to so many Thai restaurants and this was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Pad Thai had round noodles, almost no sauce and a little bit of everything else that’s supposed to be in it. My friends Tom yum smelled like something went wrong with it and she couldn’t eat it. They tried to convince us that’s the most popular dish and guess what we still got charged for it. Plus they charge 18% gratuity no mater what and you also get an attitude. Such a big disappointment.
Quiet setting peaceful meal. Great for date night!
The owners are very nice and always there. Good basic Thai food at a reasonable price in downtown Salem.
Absolutely amazing, best fried dumplings and soy sauce I have ever tasted. The service was so kind and everything was very clean and comfortable! This is my obsession the tofu soup was also incredible
My wife and I go here several times per year. The owners are super friendly (occasionally too much), and the food has always been good. There's a lot of variety. We're vegetarians, and there are plenty of options. Also, it's not usually too crowded, so there's rarely a wait.
Best Thai on the North Shore! Love the new soups!
Really good place and fast service! Friendly staff
They said this is Thai food, are you joking? Worst Thai food I have ever seen!!! They say “we reserve the right to charge 18% service fee”, after adding this service fee, they call this is pre-tip. Joking?
Beware 18% service charge! The sign on the table reads "We reserve the right to charge you an 18% service charge". Translation is "We WILL CHARGE YOU an 18% service charge no matter what." If you are OK with that, the food was good. We went for lunch and ordered specials from the lunch menu and a dinner menu selection.
I had a good experience with the food and the service there. My boyfriend and I ordered 3 dishes, and they came pretty quick. The waitress gave us valentines chocolates in the end with cute little package says happy valentines. We will come back if we visit Salem again in the future.
Not worth it says 6.99 lunches n yes sm portions. So got buffaloed lol
The food was great. However the drinks not so much. I ordered jasmine tea and it was mostly hot water with a splash of tea. My friend ordered a rum and coke and they gave him coke with fireball. After several long minutes the drink was finally corrected.
We go there faithfully when we go to Salem. Usually good food, service is great and reasonable prices. Well, we went last night, I believe the prices were way more than usual. 18% service charge for 2 people to eat, attitude towardd EVERYONE the main waitress was waiting on. And took forever to place our order, never checked in on us, to get the check and even bring us back our card after paying. Food was not good either. Very disappointed and will not be going back.
The duck was great, but was served flat, warm soda.
Amazing food wonderful service
Thai is our go-to when traveling. I can say, this is THE BEST Thai food I’ve ever had! The service was fantastic! The owners were not intrusive but very attentive to us!
One of my favorite places to eat. They are doing outdoor seating as of June 2020. Great food with fresh ingredients made to order. Our favorites are the dumplings, scallion pancakes, Thai basil, jungle curry, chicken fever, drunken noodles and Thai iced tea.
We stop here for lunch every time we go to Salem.
I went there with my friend because our favorite Thai place in Marblehead was busy. We saw the low prices and thought it would be alright, but the food is terrible (INSANELY sweet). If you know Thai food at all, you know this just isn't it. My "drunken noodles" were essentially drowned in sweet sauce, had zero spice, and tasted like straight duck sauce. My friend ordered chicken himaparn, and it was was just rice and the sweet sauce you get in to-go packets at Chinese restaurants, with steamed vegetables. Please do not waste your money here, even if the prices are cheap.
Easily the best restaurant I've eaten at in years!!! If you're in Salem and still reaching this, stop and get a table! The sake cosmos are awesome :D
Great little spot! Food was fresh and service was fast.
